NMMSS Scholarship Kya Hai?
National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) Bharat Sarkar ki ek important scholarship yojana hai jiska uddeshya garib aur medhavi chatron ko 8th class ke baad padhai chhodne se rokna hai. Is yojana ke tahat har saal 1 lakh naye students ko chuna jata hai jo Class 9 me padh rahe hote hai. Chunne gaye students ko Class 9 se lekar Class 12 tak har saal 12000 rupaye ki scholarship di jati hai. Ye paisa Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) ke through sidhe student ke bank account me bheja jata hai. Is yojana ko Ministry of Education chalati hai aur iska selection State/UT Government dwara li gayi pariksha ke aadhar par hota hai.
Is yojana ka main lakshya ye hai ki jo students arthik roop se kamzor hai lekin padhai me acche hai, unhe financial support diya jaye taki wo apni secondary aur higher secondary education poori kar sake. 2026-27 ke liye is yojana ka application National Scholarship Portal (NSP) par 1 June 2026 se shuru hua tha aur ab last date 31 October 2026 kar di gayi hai.

Note: Students ko salah di jati hai ki last date ka wait na kare, kyuki OTR (One Time Registration) me time lagta hai.
NMMSS Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 2026-27
- Class: Student ko Class 8 pass karke Class 9 me Government, Government-aided ya Local Body School me admission lena chahiye.
- Marks: Class 7 me kam se kam 55% marks hone chahiye. SC/ST category ke liye 5% ki chhoot hai (50% marks).
- Income Limit: Parents ki saalana aay (Annual Income) 3.5 Lakh se zyada nahi honi chahiye. Income Certificate lagana jaruri hai.
- Selection Exam: Student ko apne State/UT Government dwara aayojit NMMSS Selection Test pass karna hoga. Is exam me MAT (Mental Ability Test) aur SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) hota hai.
- School Type: Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Residential School, Private School ke students is yojana ke liye eligible nahi hai.
Scholarship Amount and Benefits
Chunne gaye har student ko har saal ₹12,000 diye jate hai jo ki har mahine ₹1,000 hota hai. Ye scholarship Class 9 me milna shuru hoti hai aur Class 12 tak continue rehti hai agar student har saal required marks lata hai. Renewal ke liye Class 10 me 60% marks (SC/ST ke liye 55%) aur Class 11 me bhi 55% marks chahiye. Saath hi student ka agle class me promotion hona chahiye. Paisa sidhe bank account me aata hai, isliye Aadhaar seeded bank account hona jaruri hai.

NMMSS Scholarship 2026-27 Apply Online Kaise Kare? Step by Step
Step 1: OTR Registration – Sabse pehle scholarships.gov.in par jaye. Students > OTR par click kare. Aadhaar ya Aadhaar Enrolment ID se 14 digit ka OTR Number generate kare. Face Authentication bhi karna hoga.
Step 2: Login and Apply – OTR Number se NSP par login kare. Search me NMMSS Scholarship select kare.
Step 3: Form Fill Kare – Personal Details, School Details, Income Details sahi se bhare. Galat jankari par form reject ho jayega.
Step 4: Documents Upload – Saare documents PDF me 200KB se kam size me upload kare.
Step 5: Final Submit – Form check karke Final Submit kare. Application ID ka print nikal le.
Step 6: Verification – Form bharne ke baad apne School ke Nodal Teacher ko bole ki aapka form L1 Verification kar de. Uske baad District Officer L2 verification karega.
Renewal Process
Jo students pehle se NMMSS Scholarship le rahe hai unhe har saal renewal karna hota hai. Renewal ke liye bhi NSP Portal par hi apply karna hota hai. Renewal ka last date bhi 31 October 2026 hi hai. Renewal ke liye pichhli class ki marksheet aur bonafide certificate chahiye.
